Already named RED HOT Technology award winners, Ricoh’s newest sheet-fed presses continue to bring in industry accolades
CHICAGO (PRINT 18, Booth #3011), October 2, 2018 – Ricoh USA, Inc. today announced that it has received two Buyers Lab (BLI) 2019 PRO Awards for its new RICOH Pro C9200 and RICOH Pro VC7210X sheet-fed presses from Keypoint Intelligence. These accolades follow quickly on the heels of Ricoh’s dominance of the RED HOT Technology award program, with Ricoh and Ricoh subsidiary Avanti Systems winning 14 awards, including two prestigious Vanguard Awards. Each of these awards are highlighted at PRINT 18, September 30 – October 2, 2018.
“Both the RICOH Pro C7210 Series and RICOH Pro C9200 offer commercial printers productive and reliable solutions that meet customer needs,” said David Sweetnam, Keypoint Intelligence’s Director of EMEA/Asia Research & Lab Services. “The C7210X sets itself apart by delivering fifth color applications that are not available from most devices in its segment, while the C9200 offers a cost-effective price point compared to its competitors and supports up to 470 gsm, which provides printers with a multitude of options. Both presses performed very well throughout testing and are extremely worthy recipients of Buyers Lab PRO awards, just shortly after they came to market.”
The PRO Award for Outstanding Mid-Volume Color Device was awarded to the RICOH Pro C7210X Graphic Arts Edition five-color digital press. This device brings best-in-class price performance and predictability to the most demanding production print environments. Boasting inline sensors and calibration along with expanded 5th color capabilities, the C7210X 95 ppm sheetfed device aids better front-to-back registration and color consistency without the need for lengthy specialized training. Able to print on paper lengths up to 49.6 inches and weights up to 360 gsm, the C7210X prints faster and more accurately than its predecessor while offering even greater media flexibility. Eye-catching toners – including white, clear, neon yellow, neon pink and Invisible Red options for the fifth color station – provide an incredible pop on a variety of media, including textured and synthetic substrates.
Named Outstanding High-Volume Color Production Device, the RICOH Pro C9200 Graphic Arts Edition, a 135 ppm sheet-fed press, offers printers a competitive edge, printing on stocks up to 49 inches long (40 inches auto-duplex) and 470 gsm. The C9200 delivers gorgeous color and impressive media flexibility at high volumes. The press also sets a new standard for best-in-class price performance in its category. In addition to impressive speed, image quality and substrate flexibility, this press provides an affordable, predictable way for businesses to maximize revenue, thanks to its uptime and reliability.
“At Ricoh, we’re constantly asking ourselves ‘What’s going to help our customers grow their businesses?’ In fact, when customers answer that question, it directly impacts how we invest in our portfolio,” said John Fulena, Vice President, Commercial & Industrial Printing Business Group, Ricoh USA, Inc. “These newest accolades from Keypoint Intelligence further validate that our approach is delivering what the market is seeking.
